My mission is to ensure Haas leads the UC Berkeley campus goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2025 by setting ambitious targets for the business school that go beyond institutional sustainability standards, recognizing the impact our organization has on the environment and wider community. We will achieve this by focusing on two categories of goals: Design high impact, cost effective programs with ambitious goals to reduce scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions; including energy, water, waste, procurement, and carbon emissions. Identify how these opportunities value people’s health and wellbeing alongside their environmental impact. Engagement and Behavior Change: Generate stakeholder buy-in and participation for sustainable operations and infrastructure through consistent education and engagement opportunities. Position Haas as a Bay Area champion for innovation and impact, utilizing our repetitional excellence to drive change for our campus community and the communities surrounding Berkeley.
