Prior to joining SERC, Bine worked at UC Berkeley’s Center for Educational Partnerships and Berkeley Summer Sessions, supporting college access and academic enrichment programs for historically marginalized high school students. They bring a decade of experience in education, including roles in teaching, student services, and curriculum development. Bine holds a master’s degree in Equity and Social Justice in Education from San Francisco State University, where their research focused on transformative arts and community-based pedagogy. Erin's focus is on accelerating the deployment of clean and resilient energy technologies on campus alongside existing sustainability initiatives and the Berkeley Clean Energy Campus project. Erin's background is in clean energy microgrids for climate resilience and empowering energy-insecure communities through electrification.
Areas of sustainability: Zero Waste Fun Fact: Currently, the main focus is to implement the Single Use Plastics Elimination Policy and transition to reusables to meet our Zero Waste 2020 and Beyond goals.
