UC Berkeley is celebrating Earth Week 2018

The campus community is invited to attend a variety of fun, educational, and hands-on events to celebrate Earth Week. The week’s sustainability events start on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22. Whether you’re interested in local and organic food, climate action, zero waste, saving water, or environmental justice, there is a free activity for you. Highlights include:


Climate Justice Forum – Rising Tides, Rising Voices April 23
A panel featuring activists and educators doing environmental justice work. Come discuss the intersection of climate change and social justice, its impacts, and what to do to ensure that the environmental movement is inclusive for all. Sponsored by SERC and the Carbon Neutrality Initiative.

UC Berkeley’s 15th Annual Sustainability Summit April 25
The Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability’s Summit is celebrating Berkeley's environmental achievements. Join for a poster session and reception, remarks and award ceremony with Chancellor Christ, and a keynote address by Vien Truong, CEO of Dream Corp (#GreenForAll).

Zero Waste Fair April 26

Meet the student organizations and campus departments dedicated to achieving zero waste by 2020. Play fun games and learn how you can reduce, reuse, recycle and compost. Brought to you by SERC and Cal Zero Waste.
