The Climate Registry Honors Transformative Decarbonization Initiatives at the 13th Annual Climate Leadership Awards in Cleveland

"CLEVELAND, OH, May 23, 2024—In a landmark event held at the 13th annual Climate Leadership Conference from May 21-23, The Climate Registry unveiled the distinguished recipients of the 2024 Climate Leadership Awards in Cleveland, Ohio. This year’s award winners represent a diverse range of sectors, including technology, construction, financial services, higher education, and public utilities. Notably, the ceremony on May 22 introduced the new Value Chain Leadership award category, adding to the established awards for Organizational Leadership, Innovative Partnership, and Individual Leadership. "At a time when the world urgently needs more climate ambition, these organizations and individuals demonstrate what is possible,” stated Amy Holm, Executive Director of The Climate Registry. "Their commitment to decarbonization showcases the transformative impact of climate action, and we hope their achievements will inspire others to follow suit..."

Kira Stoll has set and achieved aggressive sustainability goals at UC Berkeley through a holistic approach, co-leading a campus project at the scale of a medium-size city that will reduce Scope 1 carbon emissions by 85%, addressing Scope 3 transportation emissions, and empowering student involvement.     See the full winner profile.
