As the campus owner of the ConnexUC Travel Program, it is one of my top priorities to provide campus with better knowledge and tools to reduce their carbon output related to business travel (and personal travel too). It was my team that provided the Sustainability office with the method by which they could collect their carbon mitigation fee through the travel reimbursement system, and I have led the effort in both 2023 and 2024 to hold a sustainable travel event on campus and plan to continue this event into the future and have offered my experience to all of the other UC campuses to assist them in planning their own sustainable travel events.
