CACS Internships
CACS annually funds Student Sustainability Internships, and through these paid positions, Berkeley students have access to new fields of applied learning.
Campus members with sustainability projects in need of helping hands can apply for internship funding, usually during the summer break, and with the return of undergraduates in the fall, the positions are filled.
CACS Internship Funding Application
CACS is currently soliciting proposals from campus members with sustainability projects in need of helping hands. Internships will be awarded to support student labor for projects on campus that support the goals identified in the 2009 Campus Sustainability Plan and/or Cal’s Climate Action Partnership (CalCAP). Internships that support new and innovative initiatives will be given higher priority.
Internship awards of up to $1,500 will be made. Any UC Berkeley faculty, staff, or graduate and undergraduate student group can apply.
Applications are due Wednesday, August 31, 2011 by 5pm and should be submitted electronically to sustainability@berkeley.edu.

CACS Internship Highlight
In 2008, through a CACS-funded internship, Facilities Services and the Office of Sustainability worked with UC Berkeley students Marshall Geck (senior: energy and water outreach intern) and Chad Kunert (junior: graphic designer) to design a Campus Energy and Water Conservation Campaign under the heading "WATCH US GO GREEN."
