Lisa Bauer has been involved in the recycling and solid waste field for the
last 19 years, and in sustainability activities for the last 7 years. She has been the Campus Recycling and Refuse Manager at UC Berkeley for the last 10 years, and in addition to her day job, has co-chaired the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability, and co-teaches several classes each year on environmental sustainability. 
Halley is the current manager of ReUSE, a campus program that focuses on fostering the spirit of reusing items rather than throwing them away. This year, she has organized two reused clothing sales, a reader give away and is now working on setting up new mini ReUSE stations. She is a third year Environmental Science undergraduate.
